New eBay sellers can often feel bewildered by the nuances and idiosyncrasies of eBay selling. If you're having trouble getting started, the eBay Seller Information Center is the primary resource on eBay to help you to get started.

Use the seller information center for help with:

  • The absolute basics and how to begin. The Selling Basics box offers a link to beginning-level tutorial information designed to help you to get up and running as an eBay seller.

  • Payments and shipping basics. The Accepting Payments and Shipping Basics area help to familiarize you with the logistical tasks you'll face as an eBay seller as you complete the sale once the listing has run its course and a buyer is found.

  • Tips, tricks, and useful tools. The Tips and Tools box provides you with information on things like building your feedback profile, what to sell on eBay, how to take photos for your listings, and how to relist your item if it doesn't sell, amongst other things.

  • Useful rules and fees information. Also accessible in the seller information center is basic information on the rules and fees you'll face as an eBay seller.

Of course, not everyone is quite ready for the full Seller Information Center just yet; if you're just starting out and finding yourself more than a little lost, consider taking a look at eBay University instead, where you can learn the basics, either using the most fundamental online tutorial information eBay has to offer or by attending classes in your local area.
