How do I become a PowerSeller?

By Aron Hsiao, About.com

Question: How do I become a PowerSeller?
Answer: Membership in the PowerSeller program is by invitation only. eBay extends invitations to the PowerSeller program based on two primary criteria, sales volume over time and feedback. Sellers who maintain very high volume with generally good feedback are invited to become program members.

The specific minimum requirements for becoming a bronze PowerSeller are:

  • Average $1,000 or 100 items of monthly sales volume,
  • maintained for at least three consecutive months,
  • with feedback 98 percent positive or better,
  • with eBay account in good standing.

An alternate way of being invited to become a PowerSeller is available to seasonal sellers who find it more difficult to maintain continuous volume:

  • Average $12,000 or 1,200 items of yearly sales volume,
  • with feedback 98 percent positive or better,
  • with eBay account in good standing.

Higher volume leads to membership in a higher tier of the PowerSeller program, as a general rule, with the various tiers and requirements for each available on this eBay page.
