From the article: Online Auction Alternatives to eBay
eBay has changed a lot over the last several years, and sellers are trying alternatives and competitors as a result. What eBay alternative have you tried, and how did your experience pan out? Has another site been a better fit for you than eBay? Which one? Share Your Experiences
Tailwinz.com is a better site than eBay
- I have sold on, and off with eBay for 10 years.. Their fees are through the roof!! I'm tired of giving them over 10% of the money, plus some of the cost to ship!! I found a new site tailwinz.com It is a little basic, but seems to be growing fast.. They have free basic listings with up to 4 pics, and the final fee's are only 2.9%.. They even give you a $20 credit in your selling account to sign up, so your first final fee's are covered too... Even if sales are slower at first, with the 60% savings in fees, I'm sold on them!!!

UniSquare
- A great new alternative to eBay is UniSquare (www.UniSquare.com). UniSquare has 22,288 categories, more than eBay. There are no listing fees and only a tiny 2% final value fee, only if item sells. Sellers can accept PayPal and Google Checkout. Members can also build free web stores and list unlimited items, create custom category names, add logo and change colors. Each item can have up to 12 images and can be listed as auction (with buy it now option), or completely as buy it now only options. Please check it out!

Ealtbay.com an auction site I like
- An additional site that I like is ealtbay.com, it allows free listings for items that you can't buy on ebay. And does not require Paypal.

Ealtbay Another alternative to Ebay
- Hi, I like your list but there is an additional niche alternative at ebay auction site. Ebay has a list of ~1400 items that are legal to own and transfer yet are banned on their site. If you try to list a vintage bear skin rug or an antique ivory bangle on Ebay you will discover you can't. Ealtbay.com allows these items, has free listing fees, very low final value fees, and does not require Paypal. It is an additional site to give a try

I found a good one
- SITE OFFERS MANY OF THE SAME FEATURES AS OTHER AUCTION SITES WITH LOWER COSTS TO SELLERS January 6, 2011; Recently launched new auction website, bidpops.com; offers those looking to sell their goods & services another option to do so. Bidpops.com, which went live on December 9, 2010, offers sellers the ability to sell with an auction rate, a fixed rate, multiple rate, wholesale, retail or reserve rate all for $.50 per item-regardless of what the selling price may be. In the short month since its launch it has seen an excess of 270,000 hits and has had over 200 members join. With no membership fees, no final value fees and up to FOUR photos included with each listing, bidpops.com offers a more cost effective option for those looking for an alternative to other, more expensive “final value fee” riddled auction or classified sites.

Exceet bid auctions
- Exceet is the first pay per bid auction marketplace in the world. Have 4 different auction styles to choose from (and a number of sub choices) so tons of variety. They're brand new so few sellers and bidders, but have a really unique model which is bound to catch on as buys can get products for up to 99% of retail, yet sellers earn whatever selling price they want. Completely different from anything else out there. Sellers can list for free as well.

Giving back
- A great alternative to ebay that I use is Main Street Fair (www.mainstreetfair.com ), an online auctions and free classified ads site that I think is easier to use. It offers some of the lowest listing fees online and what I like most about it is that it donates a percentage of its listing fees to schools across America. You guys should give it a try!

e-bay
- I am in the market for e-bay alternatives. Their new rules are all for the consumer and absolutely none for the seller. I cn understand strict rules in place. But I can get no answer what so ever on why the ebay store was just blocked. They won't give me an answer either. They say they don't want to risk giving out information to the wrong person. If you have my name of file, and my info to talk about the items with me, why would you not be able to disclose the issues leading up to a blocked store? Feedback on the store was 100% too.

Tried to get away from horrid eBay
- I tried GunCollector.com, and had very limited success (2 out of 5 items sold). I want out from under eBay so badly I can taste it, but there's just no place to go. eBay is the worst online marketplace for sellers that I've ever seen, but unless the other sites can get traffic up, I'll have to take the beatings...

I Agree! A1Outlet is Great Indeed!
- After so long a monopolistic eBay domination, here is one great alternate online store for sellers and buyers. Recently launched A1Outlet is real good and a stunning competitor to eBay. Great tools, great features. I could even create my own catalog and store! Traffic appears to be good, I was able to sell my stuff so fast. Being comparatively new, traffic could be an initial issue, but this can be fixed as they move forward. I strongly recommend this online marketplace. Try them! — KV

there is a better alternitive ...
- visit www.a1outlet - site has a very good traffic - more chances to sell, features many tools to sellers - and listings are free. excellent seller support. i used ioffer - and they charge me a commission even though the transaction never happened :( and it was just a waste of time to deal with their customer service.

Smart Alternatives to eBay
- With the new changes coming in the week of Sept 22, 2009 to eBay, I'm just plumb fed up with all the rules supposedly designed to make the sellers life easier. BS! The new stuff is clearly designed to cater to a few really high end sellers they have and leave the rest of us with our fannies hanging in the wind. So I've decided to take my business elsewhere. And I have a feeling quite a few others will be following me. I just spent the morning looking for alternatives and was pleasantly surprised at what I found. I feel I can definately make Bonanzle my new home. Might not have the traffic of eBay but thats a fixable thing. Thats what advertising is for. The last two times I've tried this, I was doing really good too until eBay bought the sites out and closed them down. eBay is out to own the marketplace and we can't let them have it. Amazon beware, eBay's changes update states they are coming for you next.
