How to Customize Your My eBay Summary Home Page

The My eBay summary page shows you details about virtually every aspect of your eBay life, including your purchase history, a rundown of your recently viewed items, the status of your bids and offers you’ve made on auction items, an overview of your purchase history, the items that you’re watching, and the sellers and searches that you’ve saved.

From your My eBay page, you can also follow links to sell items, access your seller hub, read and compose messages, which details all of your selling activity and see and revise all of your account activity. This summary view can help you streamline your administrative work, especially if you've customized it to your own eBay preferences and user habits.

Making It Personal 

To begin the customization process for your My eBay summary page, hover on the My eBay link at the top right-hand corner of any eBay page and choose Summary from the drop-down menu. Here you can add, hide or move features you want in each area of your My eBay summary page and you can also decide which types of information you want to see first each time you visit My eBay. You'll find three tabs on the upper left-hand side of your summary page screen, labeled Activity, Messages, and Account. Each of these tabs also has customization options.

Choosing Your Homepage and Customizing Activity Tab

Clicking from the left-hand menu on your Activity tab will direct you to sub-pages, such as Purchase History or Saved Searches, where you'll have the option of making the given page your My eBay summary home page.

This option can be selected by clicking a link in the upper-right corner under the “Tell Us What You Think” link that says “Make Purchase History your My eBay homepage” or “Make Saved Searches Your My eBay Homepage.” 

Once you've done that, this page will be the first to appear each time you open your My eBay summary. This helps you efficiently track all of your Purchases or saved searches with a minimum number of clicks. To customize your Activity tab, simply click on the arrows in the menu bar on the left-hand side of your screen. This allows you to show or hide the drop-down menu options for each category: Buy, Lists, and Sell.

Quickly Access Your Preferred Account Stats

In the classic view, when you click onto your Account tab in the upper left portion of your My eBay summary screen, you'll find a wealth of useful information displayed in various information boxes.

To the right of each box are two arrows, one pointing up and the other pointing down. These arrows allow you to reorder the information boxes so that you can quickly see the information most important to you while moving less important information to the bottom of the page.

Simply click on the up or down arrow as many times as needed to relocate the given box to your preferred page position. Your My eBay summary view will be preserved and remain the same each time you log in to check your eBay account information and status.
