Make Money on eBay Without Selling a Thing
Leverage your website(s) to earn money through eBay

By Aron Hsiao, About.com

Have a website? Is it reasonably busy? If so, you can make money on eBay without selling a thing, by taking advantage of eBay’s affiliates program.

What is an affiliates program?

Many larger web portals and search engines these days have affiliates programs. The most popular of these is probably Google’s AdSense program, which displays ads supplied by Google on private websites, then pays those website owners for the privelege.

The eBay Affiliates program, also known as eBay Partner Network, works in a similar fashion. You coordinate with eBay to show item listings or eBay links on your website that are relevant to its content, and eBay pays you a commission on new memberships and on sales that occurred when users clicked through from your website.

API and Development

There is also an affiliates program API (application programming interface) that you can use to further customize the types of eBay links that will appear on your site, in order to maximize your ability to drive traffic to eBay. If you’re a Web developer or have a website and also like eBay, now could be the time to start making money on eBay without having to sell a thing.
