Forums
Welcome to the discussion forum about everything eBay!
Although your guide encourages you to contact him directly with feedback or questions, using the forum may be more beneficial to you, since your message will reach a greater number of people more quickly and will also contribute ongoing dialogue. Feel free to use this forum to ask questions or share anecdotes about eBay and to exchange buying and selling tips.
Please remember that while you are free to refer readers to other relevant sites, advertisements or links to your own auctions for the purpose of generating bids are not allowed. Your guide visits the forum regularly and will contribute to (and moderate) all discussions.
FAQ
- Q. Do I have to register to use the forums?A. You can enter as a guest and read posts, but you must register before you can post or answer a post that's already there. Registering is quick, simple, and free. Please join us.
- Q. Are there any types of posts that are prohibited here?A. Any spamming or commercial posts will be deleted, as will rude or insensitive remarks, specific details about ongoing eBay disputes that directly identify a buyer, seller, or item on the eBay website, and last (but not least), disruptive or "troll" posts.
- Q. May I promote my product or Web site here?A. As with most places on the Internet, you may make your URL part of your "signature" by typing it under your name at the end of your posts, but please do not place posts on the forum consisting entirely of advertising or commercial material. They will be considered spam and be deleted. Please also do not post links to your own auctions simply to solicit bids.
- Q. I'm engaged in an ongoing dispute or situation on eBay. Can I discuss this situation or ask questions about it here?A. Yes, with two caveats. First, you may not include any details in such posts that may reasonably be expected to directly identify eBay members or specific eBay item listings as being involved in a dispute. Second, you may not include any real-world names or contact information for the relevant parties. Note that this rule will be strictly enforced!
- Q. What if I have questions about a specific item listing not connected to an ongoing dispute? Can I direct other discussion participants to such a listing?A. Yes, so long as your question concerns the involved listing, or the buying or selling practices that it employs. You should note that final moderation in such cases is left to the discretion of your guide.
