eBay's feedback manipulation policy is one that often catches both buyers and sellers alike by surprise. Often, it seems arbitrary; common defenses are always tinged with shades of either "How can they say I'm in the wrong?" or "How can eBay objectively enforce a policy like that?"

Still, policy it is, and if eBay decides you've been manipulating feedback, you'll be on your way to a suspension. Happily, this doesn't have to happen—take a look at this simple list of behaviors to avoid and you'll stay well in the clear.
