Resolving disputes with sellers

Thursday March 30, 2006
Most eBay members like to think that eBay is always a happy, safe place to trade. For the most part, it is. But even without malice, there are going to be times when traders just don't see eye-to-eye, and in the case of an expensive or badly needed purchase, this can really make you pull your hair out, especially as a buyer.

There's a kind of misconception in popular culture that says that when you aren't satisfied with an eBay purchase, there's nothing you can do—you've been the victim of an online scam and that, as they say, is that.

Not true!

There are a lot of things you can do, and they range from simply contacting a seller to contacting law enforcement. Don't roll over and play dead, do what you can to resolve the dispute, protect yourself, and protect other eBay users.
